Marching Band

The South Jones High School Band of Braves has long been a flagship program of the Jones County School District. The program is composed of winds, color guard and dance, battery percussion, and front ensemble percussion. The South Jones Band of Braves is a competitive marching ensemble that has competed all across the south.  Some notable performances and accolades of the program are: 2014: US Bands Class V Open Southern States Regional Champions 2016: MHSAA Class 5A State Marching Championship Silver Medalist 2019: MHSAA Class 5A State Marching Championship Champion 2021: MHSAA Class 5A State Marching Championship Champion 2021: Bands of America Class A Regional Champion
